Technical Features
- Solution Dyed: Solution dyeing is a process where dye is added to the liquid polymer before the fibre is extruded. The benefit of this technology is that energy and water use as well as C0? emissions are significantly reduced.
- Bluesign Approved: Bluesign is a system run by an independent, Swiss-based third-party group that monitors every step in a supply chain to ensure the use of the most benign materials.
- RCS Recycled Fabric: Fabrics or materials used in these products are certified as recycled according to the Recycled Claim Standard. RCS is an international, voluntary standard that uses the ISO definition for 'recycled'. It sets criteria for third-party certification of recycled input and ensures responsibility throughout the supply chain.
- Horizontal Delta Coring: This Sea to Summit innovation removes 40% of the foam in a self-inflating mat, leaving Delta-shaped 'cores'. This saves weight and reduces packed volume while creating foam-supported, air-filled channels that significantly enhance your comfort. Lighter, more packable, more comfortable: a win-win-win.
- XPEL Valve: The Sea to Summit XPEL Valve was the first valve developed specifically for self-inflating sleeping mats. It integrates a one-way inflate port, a deflate port and a fine-tune button into a single, low-profile unit. The genius of the XPEL valve is that to deflate the sleeping mat, the valve is flipped over.
- ASTM F3340 R-VALUE TESTING: To ensure that you will be warm when you sleep (especially when the ground is colder), it is essential to know how well your sleeping mat resists heat loss into the ground. This resistance is known as an R-Value. A laboratory-tested R-Value is the only way to measure resistance to heat loss
